EducationI am native Japanese, graduated from UOW with distinction (master of international
studies). I graduated from Yokohama City University (in Japan) with bachelor of international studies, and worked in Japan for over five years.
ExperienceI am native Japanese and experienced Japanese tutor (in both Japan and Australia over six years), offering lessons to around 30 students every week in Illawarra.I have a lot of experience of teaching for HSC and extension, including Distanced Japanese Course, JLPT/N2/N3, UOW JAPA 101,142, 243, 361, 310 and 363,and also for toddlers second language. Also, below are some highschool which some of my students go to (some of them teach Japanese, but not all of them).
- Keira High - Smith's Hill High - Kiama High - Kiama Christian High - Figtree High - TIGS - Wollongong Performing Art - St.Mary - Corpus Christi Catholic High School etc...
I have worked in Japan for more than five years and I had worked as a Japanese and English tutor in Reo tutoring centre in Japan from 2004 to 2007. Some students started lessons as a beginner, others have been learning Japanese in school or have lived in Japan. I create my own curriculum and tutoring documents for every class which suits student’s need and level, but also I give lessons in order to supplement what they learn from school, and assist them to pass exams by using their textbooks (Obento, Genki I&II, New Approach Cyuukyuu Nihongo, Intermediate Kanji, Mirai 5, Japanese for Busy People etc) as well as materials from Uni, highschool and so on. I am very confident to offer you fun and effective lessons and able to productively teach not only Japanese language but also its culture from beginner level to advanced one.
I have my Australian Police Check and Working with Children Check in NSW. Also I am able to send my references from my clients as well as resume. As a tutor, I follow and keep myself updating with Australian Tutoring Association Code of Conducts.
Lesson costs $30 per hour. I do lessons at my office (near Uni). Level of the tutoring class does not affect the rate. After the first lesson, if you are happy about my class and wish to continue, then we’ll sign on contract .
My schedule is a bit tight after school hour with highschool students. Therefore, if you could come for the lesson in daytime, that'd be more chance to book an appointment with me. If you can't make it daytime, please contact me. I will adjust my schedule for you.
My tutoring class is basically one-on-one, as I believe this is the most effective way of learning new language. However, if you would like to bring your friends in tutoring class rather than having a class separately, please let me know.
(The price would be $30 plus extra for number of additional student. If you have one hour lesson with your friend, it would be $40 for both of you. If you have one hour lesson with two friends, it would be $50 for all of you.)
